More Than a Retreat. A Re-Awakening.
South Africa is not just a destination; it is an emotion. It is a vibrant, untamed land that invites you to shed the layers of daily life and reconnect with something primal and profound.
Join us for an unparalleled 12-day journey that blends deep restorative wellness practices with thrilling adventure and meaningful conservation action.
This is an invitation to rewild your spirit. We will move from the warm waters of the Dolphin Coast, deep into the bushveld to work alongside conservationists protecting iconic species, ascent to the ancient peaks of the Drakensberg mountains, and return to the vibrant energy of Durban city.
Every day begins with intentional movement and ends under some of the clearest starry skies on earth. You won’t just witness Africa; you will contribute to its future.
The Journey: Sea, Safari, and Sky
We have curated an exclusive itinerary designed to move you physically, emotionally, and spiritually across three distinct South African biomes.
Phase 1: The Call of the Coast & The Heart of Conservation
(Days 1 – 5: Ballito & Private Reserves)
We ground ourselves upon arrival on the glittering shores of Ballito. Wash away travel fatigue with sunrise beach yoga and a thrilling early morning dolphin cruise and dive.
The journey then moves inland to our private Conservation Reserve. Here, the wellness deepens, and the work begins.
-
Highlights: Morning and evening game drives tracking the Big 5.
-
Impact: Hands-on participation in vital conservation efforts, including work with a Rhino Sanctuary, wetlands preservation, and marine conservation areas.
-
Wellness: Daily yoga flows amidst the bushveld and guided Yoga Nidra under an immense canopy of stars.
Phase 2: The Majestic Mountains
(Days 6 – 8: The Drakensberg)
We trade the humidity of the bush for the crisp air of the “Dragon Mountains.” The Drakensberg is a place of awe-inspiring basalt cliffs and ancient energy.
-
Highlights: Trekking mountain paths to view ancient San cave paintings and soaking in the vast vistas with an African afternoon tea on route.
-
Culture: A visit to the Mandela Monument in the Midlands on our descent.
-
Wellness: Sunrise mountain yoga and evening practices that echo the stillness of the peaks.
Phase 3: City Vibrancy & Coastal Closure
(Days 9 – 12: Durban & Surrounds)
We return to the coast energized and transformed. The final days are a celebration of South African culture, adrenaline, and integration.
-
Adventure: An optional beach swim with sharks for the brave, and a visit to the spectacular Oribi Gorge.
-
Culture & Cuisine: Explore the famous sites of Durban, enjoy dinner with 360-degree city views at the Roma Revolving Restaurant, and celebrate our journey with a traditional South African Braai (BBQ).
-
Closing: Final sunrise beach practices before departure.
Why This Retreat Is Different
Holistic Integration We don’t separate the inner journey from the outer adventure. Our daily yoga (Hatha/Vinyasa flow) and evening Yoga Nidra are themed to match the environment—grounding in the bush, elevating in the mountains, and flowing by the sea.
Conservation in Action This is not a passive safari viewing. You will get your hands dirty working alongside dedicated conservationists. Your presence directly supports the protection of rhinos and fragile ecosystems. It is travel with purpose.
Authentic Luxury & Immersion From beachside calm to the rustic luxury of bush camps and mountain lodges, you will be comfortably held throughout. We move beyond the tourist trail to offer authentic cultural culinary experiences, from high-end dining to traditional feasts.
