Description
How does vibration alter the physical and mental state?
This 1-day intensive bridges the gap between ancient therapeutic tools and modern neuroscience.
We will explore how sound waves interact with the human nervous system, brainwaves, and cellular structures to facilitate deep physiological repair.
Participants will transition from understanding the “why” of sound healing to the “how,” gaining hands-on experience with Himalayan singing bowls.
This workshop is designed for healthcare practitioners, yoga teachers, and individuals looking to understand the mechanics of vibrational medicine.
1-Day Curriculum
Morning Session: The Neurobiology of Sound (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
Conducted by Dr Nitasha Buldeo

* 10:00 – 11:00: Sound and the Autonomic Nervous System
* The Vagus Nerve: Understanding how low-frequency sound stimulates the Vagus nerve to trigger the Parasympathetic Nervous System (the “Rest and Digest” response).
* HRV (Heart Rate Variability): How consistent vibrational frequencies stabilize heart rate and lower cortisol levels.
* 11:00 – 12:00: Brainwave Entrainment
* Frequency Following Response (FFR): The science of how the brain synchronizes its internal rhythms to external acoustic frequencies.
* State Shifting: Moving the brain from Beta (active/stress) to Alpha (relaxation) and Theta (meditative/REM-like) states using binaural beats and acoustic resonance.
* 12:00 – 1:00: Mechanics of Muscle & Tissue Release
* Acoustic Massage: How sound waves travel through cellular water to provide a “micro-massage” to the fascia and deep muscle tissue.
* Bone Conduction: The role of the skeletal system in amplifying and distributing vibration throughout the body.
*
Lunch Break (1:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
Afternoon Session: Introduction to Singing Bowls (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
Conducted by Pundit Bhuwan Chandra

* 2:00 – 2:45: The Physics of the Bowl
* Himalayan vs. Quartz Crystal: Understanding the difference between multi-tonal (harmonic) and pure-tone (sinusoidal) vibrations.
* Sustained Resonance: The physics behind “The Sing” and the “Strike.”
* 2:45 – 3:45: Practical Application & Technique
* Mallet Mastery: Techniques for striking, rubbing, and controlling volume/intensity.
* Intervals and Dissonance: Using specific musical intervals to either energize or sedate the nervous system.
* 3:45 – 4:30: Sound as a Clinical Tool
* Placement: How to safely place bowls on the body (sacrum, solar plexus, palms) for targeted vibrational therapy.
* Session Structure: How to build a 20-minute sound “reset” for clients or personal use.
* 4:30 – 5:00: Closing Sound Immersion
* A facilitated experience demonstrating the integration of the day’s scientific and practical concepts.
Participant Learning Outcomes
- Understand the relationship between acoustic frequency and Vagal Tone.
- Identify the brainwave states associated with different sound frequencies.
- Demonstrate proper technique for activating and sustaining a singing bowl.
- Articulate the physiological benefits of sound healing to clients or peers.
